On September 13, 2022, Shigeru Miyamoto revealed Pikmin 4 at a Nintendo Direct. Without revealing any gameplay or story specifics, the teaser clip provides a brief peek at the game’s setting.
The Pikmin T-shirt Miyamoto wore during the introduction will be sold at the Nintendo New York shop and online, according to Nintendo. Pikmin 4 will debut on July 21, 2023, according to the Nintendo Direct from February 8, 2023.
The core gameplay in Pikmin 4 is the same as in previous games in the Pikmin series: players take control of a tiny leader named “Pom” who must spend a day on a planet resembling Earth raising Pikmin to use in overcoming obstacles, acquiring items, and accomplishing specified objectives in various locales.
